I’m Simarpreet Kaur, a fourth-year Computer Science student at McMaster University with a strong focus on data science, machine learning, and NLP. I’ve built end-to-end projects ranging from a multilingual semantic search and summarization API with SentenceTransformers, to analyzing 20,000+ Waze user sessions for behavioral insights, to predicting employee attrition with 95%+ accuracy using advanced ML models.

I thrive at the intersection of data, AI, and storytelling, using tools like Python, SQL, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tableau, and Power BI to transform raw datasets into actionable insights and fast, scalable applications. My technical foundation spans data cleaning, EDA, embeddings, model serving, and visualization, all applied through real-world, impact-driven projects.

Beyond the technical side, I bring 6+ years of leadership and client-facing experience, sharpening my communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Whether building APIs, delivering executive summaries, or mentoring teammates, I aim to create solutions that are both technically sound and user-focused.

Outside of data and code, I enjoy exploring design aesthetics in portfolios, solving logic puzzles, and collaborating on projects that push technology toward meaningful impact.
